Pleeeeeease…….give yourself a chance to feel your real self before you allow your mind to start making plans. It’s very, very easy to do. We are just in the habit of doing things backwards. It’s a learned process from imitating practically everyone else. We perceived our world correctly as children and then grew into this bad habit of thinking before feeling.

Thoughts are generated on top of thoughts, that appear out of nowhere. We all have reaction thoughts to our environment. These reactions lead to thoughts, that lead to more thinking to deal with the original thoughts, and away you go. Emotions result from the process of reacting, contemplating and finally concluding. Or maybe, there is no conclusion, which can result in emotions of fear or stress.

This is how it goes for the majority of people. Thoughts produce emotions. It then becomes natural to try to use this process to create positive emotions. I know from my own experience, that it seems natural to try to think your way into happiness. I’d go over how things were going for me and what the future had to offer, in the happiness category. I would calculate how the day would entertain me and somehow fulfill my soul with purpose. By plotting out strategies, I felt that good emotions would be guaranteed. Thinking would proceed the feelings.

In reality, this strategy fails to deliver the goods. The saying, “live by the sword, die by the sword,” is appropriate here. Sadly, I have found that when you live by the thought strategy, you also die by the thought strategy. While you’re plotting your road to happiness, your thoughts can continually steer you the wrong way on a one way street.

The bottom line on why this happens, came to me from Echart Tolle. His book A New Earth was featured on Oprah’s book of the month program. I caught the live interviews that were broadcast around the world and was astounded by the amazing new insight that was discussed. Echart’s become a bit of a phenomenon as a result of his books and teachings that humbly point to a new path for successful living. I don’t recommend books. That said, I recommend A New Earth by Ekart Tolle. Without getting into lengthy details, I have a few simple insights taken from this book, to share.

We get lost in our thinking. The emotions that are created from this endless thinking, aren’t appropriate or productive for the circumstances we encounter. I have asked myself at many times in my life, why am I not able to be, so very happy with what I have right now? I have been through some difficult times, but mostly I have so much to be grateful for. So much, and yet I don’t feel it often enough. I would rationalize that there was more that I needed, to feel really happy. This is where the thinking and planning came into play. This is where we leave ourselves to journey on a path that actually takes us away from where we really want to be.

The world tells us, this is the way. The world doesn’t really know what it’s talking about. Does it? Think about the complicated world in general. Is this really the best we can do? Notice the horribly high cost of living that has taken place in the last 30 years. Everyone seems to be running in place trying to keep up with this high cost of living. Whatever happened to the leisure lifestyle that modern technology was suppose to provide? Now, after all the heroic efforts to keep up with the ever increasing cost of living, the housing market is having a meltdown and the price of gas and food is soaring. The world’s plan is broke. Thankfully so. Eckhart’s book simply describes a new way to approach living in the modern world. It is based on ancient philosophy from times when people weren’t so confused by the complicated world that we have today. The wisdom is timeless and works immediately. Eckhart has a way of making it easy to understand in today’s terms.

Just being able to get out of your thinking mind and back to who you really are, is all that is needed. This simple act is powerful enough to bring about pure happiness even in the middle of chaos. It doesn’t require classes or a degree. Money, experience in life, relationships are not necessary. All that is needed is to be present in the now. It’s what was natural to us when we were children. It is easy to do, and the benefits of feeling extreme happiness are immediate.

I’m excited to share this, because I live it, and I know how nice it feels. Finally, something makes total sense and you don’t have to believe it, because you can feel it, plain as day. Everything that you have in your life can be appreciated on such a deeper level when you step out of your thinking and get back to you, right now. When you get good at staying in the now zone, you will see two huge benefits. First, you can leave negative thinking and emotion behind in a matter of seconds. The second part is that you get to see and experience things in your life the way they appeared to you the very first time. Everything is new and wonderful the first go around. The first experience is interesting and exciting. As time goes on we experience everything from our thinking mind. The beauty and magic of our surroundings are lost because of this form of processing.

Your body is the gateway to your subconscious mind and the present moment. The subconscious is the source of who you really are. To be connected to extreme contentment, try connecting to your source as much as possible. It’s no big thing. Just periodically, throughout your day, bring your awareness to your body, or the feeling of your body touching something. Be present and aware of how it feels when your hands or your feet or any part of you is touching something. Focus your awareness on what you are physically feeling right now. The more you do this, the more natural and easy it becomes. This is a simple and quick way to break away from your thinking mind.

Your thinking mind wont be too impressed with this. Tell it to shut up and just do it. Feel how a calmness and pure contentment occurs by just switching your awareness out of thinking, and back to being here, right now. See everything for how really beautiful and amazing it is. It feels so nice to see the real world that surrounds you, no matter where you are. Only your thinking mind can prevent you from seeing this. Feel how wonderful life is, by practicing just being, instead of thinking.

Thinking comes before feeling, unless you’re in the amazing present moment. In the now zone, everything is reversed. You feel it…..then,,,, you think it. What you feel before you think, is so natural and beautiful, that you’ll want to continue this process always. These are feelings that your thinking mind could never deliver. All the planning in the world wont get you there.

“Life… is… what happens while your making other plans.”

So.

Stop making other plans.

“Nothing you can do that can’t be done. Nowhere you can be that isn’t where you’re meant to be.” The Beatles-All You Need Is Love

So just let it go. Whatever you’re holding on to that keeps you from being completely satisfied with where you’re at, should consciously be let go. Letting go of any negative thought or feeling that you are engaged in is a great way to bring yourself into the present moment. Just say it to yourself. “I’m letting go of this issue or that feeling that is bothering me at this moment.” Until you can consciously let go of things that are bothering you, the present reality that you should be able to enjoy will go on without you. That’s so sad, but the good news is that being aware of this can get you right back to where you should be. Where you are meant to be.

By being aware of the thoughts that you are concerning yourself with, you can take action and decide to let go of them. These concerns and worries that you carry with you keep you from being in the present moment. They steal the only life that you really have and when you decide to let go of them even just for a few minutes, you immediately find nirvana. What all philosophies that describe nirvana or bliss or salvation are referring to is the crystal clear view of the now. A present moment that is experienced because of letting go of all the baggage that blocks the view is all you really need. Love is always there, naturally.

Try it and see how much better you feel immediately. Don’t worry about what’s nagging at you. You’ll deal with it when the time is right. In the mean time, try staying in the present moment and see how your life improves. All the methods of attracting abundance into your life are centered around being in the present. It goes like this. If your not consciously in the present you are telling the universe or all the powers in nature that you are not comfortable with your life. You are in effect escaping reality.

In the laws of attraction logic, the subconscious mind is very simple. It gets that you are uncomfortable with your life because you avoid the present moment. Therefore, being that it always thinks you want more of the same, it helps you find your apparent wishes. Your subconscious mind conspires with everything in your world to bring you more discomfort. Crazy huh? You either buy the law of attraction theory or you don’t. Regardless of what you believe, try and be open to all possibilities for improving you life.

Much wisdom and thought as well as experience has been responsible for these concepts on the laws of nature. If you ponder these principles on your own, you most likely can see by yourself how this works. Try using the simple techniques for staying in the present moment that are described throughout the articles on this site. If you get familiar with the difference between how it feels to be in the present compared to not being in the present, you can understand why it matters so much.

Forget about how it works with the laws of attraction. Just the way it makes you feel and how you’re able to perceive the world around you differently in itself is all that matters. It should be obvious to anyone that being calm and relaxed in the middle of a stressful environment would always be a huge benefit. People around you can pick up on your calmness and the comfort that you have with where you’re at. That alone causes them to react to you in a more positive manner. These are just a few of the many advantages that can come into play in improving your life in a very natural way. The way that works the best for you and who you really are down deep.

This is a different way of feeling and perceiving and even though it feels so nice it takes a bit of conscious practice to keep from reverting back to the more familiar state of mind for all of us. It isn’t hard to do. It just takes awareness of the two different places to be. The present and the not present. Not present is what happens when you’re lost in your thinking mind and caught up with worries of the future or concerns of the past. It’s fun to practice the shift in perception. Eventually staying more in the present moment wins out naturally as you practice because you will enjoy the state of mind so much more. It feels so nice to be very comfortable right where you are at, no matter where that is and no matter what the circumstances are.

You are always right where you are meant to be. When you let go of any feelings or beliefs that keep you from being completely content with exactly where you are at, something very natural happens. The world around you molds itself to your wishes and desires.

The shortest road to take in improving your life is to go nowhere at all.

Everything you need to find is right here, right where you are at.

Let go.

There has been a huge tool that has come my way and right now I’m going to pass it on to you. As is always the case in the big picture, something very simple is behind amazing results. It’s so simple that normally we can’t help but ignore it. The time has come to see this overlooked truth and bring it back out of the archives. Once, as a child we knew this and it was easy to get. As time went on it got farther from our consciousness with each passing day. It is our natural state. Being in this place is being who we really are, and therefore our conscious mind and subconscious mind are no longer in conflict. They are able to work together in concert to bring about the most effective improvement we could ever hope for.

There are simple techniques that are fun to deploy into your arsenal of life improving methods. One of the easiest is this. Simply focus your attention or your awareness, on your breathing. It’s easy to do. Just takes a second and very little effort. Try it. There you are. During the time that your awareness is on your breathing you have entered the present moment zone of the real you. The real reality . For that period of time you have left the thinking mind zone. The not real you. Not reality. It’s easy and it doesn’t hurt a bit. In fact when you have thoughts that bring you pain or discomfort, just focus your awareness on your breathing and the painful thoughts leave you immediately. With this you can stop negative thoughts in their tracks before they get a chance to do their dirty work on your consciousness.

What a great tool it is to be able to leave fear and pain and ugliness in the dust and get on with being your real self. It feels good in a very natural way. Very calming and comfortable. Being present in the existing moment is our natural state. Living in an awareness outside of the present moment is unnatural and therefore uncomfortable. It requires a lot of effort to deal with the stress of being outside your natural state. Much of what we think and do is in an effort to deal with what comes from being outside of the present experience.

Focusing on your breathing is a great place to start. When you combine this with a few other simple techniques, there will be no stopping your ability to shift your consciousness into the present moment zone. This shift in awareness is the most powerful tool there is to being able to attract the improvements into your life that will work best for you. It happens faster and with more accuracy in a very natural way.

One of the biggest obstacles that can block your efforts at improving your life, is the thoughts that plow through your head. They can come out of no where and in most cases serve no purpose other than to distract and complicate your experience in reality. Instead of being with your true self and enjoying every moment, you are occupied with addressing the thoughts and working through them. It seems as if there is a purpose for going down the random thought paths that come along. You feel compelled to entertain the absurd notions that enter your head. In fact these thoughts are not important. These thoughts are not you. The real you lies behind the thoughts in your head and you can put the thinking mind in it’s place and exist where your natural self is.

This simple technique of bringing your awareness to your breathing seems like a subtle shift in your consciousness but as you use it more and more you will get to see how powerful it is. Try it when an ugly thought enters your head. Immediately you’re brought into the present moment and the thinking is cut off dead in it’s tracks. I find that the thoughts are totally gone and don’t come back even though a moment before it was in the front of my mind. It’s wonderful to have such control over your thinking. This is power. Plus you get the added bonus of relaxing in the always enjoyable present moment. Lots of birds are got with this one little stone.

Focusing on your breathing is normally considered a meditation or relaxation technique. In this application it’s many times more beneficial in improving yourself and your life. This becomes a wand that you can wave to instantly transport yourself out of the complicated unreal world. It is your portal, gateway, entrance, door or whatever you want to call it. This allows you to step out of the stress and discomfort that comes from being away from yourself in the present moment.

Try it the next time you feel stress and see how the stress instantly diminishes. Focus your attention on your breathing and look around you. The world you are use to seeing becomes more beautiful. More new and fresh to your senses. See how your perception of yourself changes. How nice it is to be able to walk through that door whenever you want and find yourself.

There you are.

Everything falls into place in the most effective and natural way when you start here. I don’t mean here on this article. It’s in the right here, right now, where you are at. Look around you and notice how you are perceiving everything. You see everything as a combination of all your past experiences while viewing the same scene. You never see the view as it is right now. You rarely feel it, as it is right now. This is what we do all the time. Nothing is experienced as it is. Our thinking mind is the problem in this situation. It is one step ahead or two behind every moment. On top of that, the mental pictures from your previous experiences are brought up like a pair of glasses that filter out the real view and experience.

Improving your life in a big way is thwarted by the learned habit of never being in the present moment. Honestly it may sound like small potatoes but being able to exist in the present moment is ultimately the most powerful change that you can make in your life. It is infinitely powerful and there are no limits to how well you will be able to shape your life to exactly what works best for you. In the most natural way possible. Try commiting a fraction of the energy that you put into any other area of improving yourself and there will be immediate progress like you have never experienced before.

The simple diagram that just touches the surface of how this works is as follows. You wish to move yourself from point A to point B. You shoot straight for point B and miss completely. This is because you are actually at another place entirely. You are really at point C. You are rarely in touch with the place that you are really at so how would you know any better. Shooting from C to B takes a completely different aim. In a vain effort to hit the target you shoot in all directions. There are good intentions. A lot of effort expended. The target rarely is hit.

Improving your life naturally and with the least amount of effort is the only way that truly works. You take the right action at exactly the right time and it comes naturally. Ancient Taoist philosophy described this essential technique as ” doing without doing”. It can’t get any simpler than that. Funny thing is…. simple works like nobody’s business.

The purpose of this site is to get the most effective results for you. Effective in time and appropriateness for who you really are. This isn’t about a lot of hoops and studying. Before explaining some simple techniques, I am trying to express a bit of background so we’re on the same page. There has been nothing in my life that compares to how effective this is at improving every single part of daily living.

Nuff said. Usually background goes on for days in self help techniques. This is more about feeling it than talking about it. When you practice the simple method that I will describe in the next article you will feel a subtle yet dramatic shift in your perception. This shift is the end that you want to work back from in whatever you desire.

Complicated never works. It’s our solution to everything it seems. Simplicity doesn’t find much respect in the complicated world. It is however, abundantly more powerful than complicated could ever hope to be.

I could try to explain specifically why that is. Better to say…..it just is. You get to figure out why .

For you.

This is the mission statement for this site. Really, the best place to start is at the end and work backwards. Work from the place that you want to exist instead of towards it. Sounds a bit tricky, but it’s not. Improving your life can be a very drawn out process or it can be direct and to the point…like this article. Books are bought and read. Seminars are paid for and attended. Discipline and excessive measures are implemented. Results are small in relation to the effort. The participants exaggerate the perceived changes to rationalize the expense of time and money.

The most difficult thing to get when working at improving your life in any way is how simple it really is. It’s a notion that doesn’t seem to jive with the common view of how to make progress. Never the less the harder one tries, the further away they get from the real goal. Any progress is more of an illusion.

It all boils down to one thing and then any area that you want to improve will open up to you and allow maximum progress. The most influential books on the subject of successful people and what they do differently than everyone else, are in agreement about one particular thing. The actions of successful people are seemingly effortless and done in a natural way. The world appears to mold itself around their desires. In a very natural way.

All the requirements of manifesting, as prescribed in the very popular book and movie “The Secret”, can be accomplished by great effort and a tight rope act. No easy feat to say the least. Or, every little detail in the recipe for attracting abundance into your life, can be bundled up into one simple thing. One change in your routine and everything required is accomplished properly and in the right order and with just the perfect balance……. in a very natural way.

Gandhi said ” Be the change that you want to see in the world”. Oh, this far too complicated for it’s own good world. My hopes here, is to express to you one simple change that will allow any attempt at improving your life, to work at a crazy, never imagined possible level.

I will keep it simple and it will be from my heart, as it should be………naturally.
